7 July 2014: LONDON – Eleven of the London market’s finest athletes – plus three supporters – from Lloyd’s insurer Advent will be participating in a cycle challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

From 12 to 14 July the ‘Advent Tour de Force’ will attempt to cycle from York Minster to Minster Court in London, a journey of about 250 miles. The team will be led by Steve Abbott and comprises Luke Sanders, Simon Lovell, Rob Deacon, Grant Bradley, Phil George, Neil Cryer, Julian Coglan, Andrew Pickles, Chris Thornton-Hogg, and Tom Gray.

Advent CEO Nigel Fitzgerald said: “This is no mean feat and the team go with our wholehearted support, very best wishes, and plenty of cream and puncture repair kits. The Alzheimer’s Society is an excellent charity which we are proud to support. There are no losers in this event – it really is about the taking part, and I salute all of Advent’s participants for embracing the challenge.”
