Steven started his career in the Reinsurance industry in 1990 when he joined the Royal Reinsurance Company claims team. After leaving "Royal Re" at the end of 1992, Steven spent three years at Sedgwick as a claims technician before joining Advent in 1996. Mr Abbott was named Claims Manager in 2006.  

Steven is a member of the Institute's Faculty of Claims and is also a member of the Reinsurance Property Practitioners Group.
